Searching for a “mini” or “teacup” Westie? Here's the honest truth about Westie sizes — the breed has just one official size, and the tiny versions you see advertised are not what they seem. Here's how big a Westie really gets and how to buy safely.
The West Highland White Terrier is a small but sturdy terrier — compact, not delicate. Breed standards describe a single size, with males slightly larger than females. There is no “standard vs miniature” split the way there is in, say, Poodles or Dachshunds.

When a puppy is advertised as a mini, micro or teacup Westie, it's almost always one of these — none of which is a healthy “variety”:
